The annual Backyard Tri on Sunday, May 3rd, benefiting Team Survivor

From Sharon Harris, with Capital Texas Team Survivor:

The Backyard Tri is one of our annual fundraisers, hosted by The Hills Fitness Center and CTTS, and sponsored by Red Licorice Events.

We provide a safe environment for a practice triathlon. You will learn how transitions work, what it feels like to get out of the water and onto a bike and then off the bike straight into a run.

There is a small fee to participate, as it is a fundraiser for CTTS.

All are welcome - you don't have to be a member of Team Survivor to participate. Please encourage your family, friends, neighbors, etc. to join the fun!

The first 50 to sign up will receive a Spibelt designed specially for CTTS -  $20 value!  (http://www.spibelt.com/spibelt.php)

EVENTS:
Swim: 300m or 6 laps (down and back) in the outdoor pool
Cycle: 20 minutes on indoor stationery bikes
Run: 2 miles on the woodchip track

Typical time to finish: Participants will take anywhere from 40 minutes to 1 hour, 15 minutes to complete the three events. Swimmers will go in the pool in waves of six, 2 swimmers per lane. When all six have finished their swim, then another six enter at the same time. When you sign up, you will be asked to estimate your swim time for the six laps. Thus, it will take from 7:30am - 10:30am to get the maximum of 50 participants through the course.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
