Shammies & Koozies--has been cancelled--wahhhhhh
When: Jun 12 2010 - 8:00am WHAT IS SHAMMIES 'N KOOZIES? Shammies 'N Koozies – Ride & Float combines these summer pastimes and gives you the best of both worlds! You can choose a 45 or 65 mile, fully supported bike ride from Wimberley to the Guadalupe River (at the Rockin’ R River Rides venue). Once you finish, it’s time to refuel with some BBQ, then grab a tube and enjoy a relaxing 2-hour float down the river. Our bag check and (optional) bike/gear transport services will provide a hassle-free experience. Your toobin’ gear will be waiting for you after the ride, and if you choose, you and your riding gear will be taken back to Wimberley after you float. Participants that choose the Shammies 'N Koozies (Ride and Float), will receive a toob (at a discounted rate), and will be able to rent an extra toob for friends or coolers. Also included is a bag check service (see event details) and a Texas BBQ meal after the ride.Â

Those of you doing this should probably contact someone to make sure this is still on.  Apparently the Guadalupe is super flooded with the rains this week. Hopefully it will have gone down by then, but still might be too dangerous to float.Â

Have you seen the photos of Rockin R? :( They were wiped off the map, building gone, all their buses washed away and wrapped around trees. It may take a bit for them to recover.

They are going to reschedule
The email I received stated that they will reschedule and if you have already registered, then your fee will apply to the new date. If you can't make that new date, then you can transfer your fee to the 2011 ride.
