won't log me off

When I am leaving the site I select log off, it comes up with the guest screen but when I go back into log in later I am already loged in...it does not log me out when I select it...any ideas of why? Will that hurt anything if I am not logged off?

This problem is related to the login-twice problem.Both of the problems should be fixed now (as a few minutes ago).
There is no problem with staying logged in on your personal computer. The ability to logout is really useful on computers that multiple people use.
