The Rookie is a short early season event that is perfect for a beginner to test the waters or an intermediate to advanced triathlete to get warmed up for the season to come. The 2012 event will be held at Walter E. Long Park. Come join us for an outstanding event and then relax afterwards with food and music.
As in "rookie style", there is a special division just for true rookie triathletes. There will be separate wave starts, finisher medals, and separate awards. Of course, the regular Age Group and Open divisions will still be around so that everyone can join in the fun.
The Rookie is the 1st event in the Texas Tri Series.
