Leaving from the Starbucks @ Escarpemnt---Turn by Turn directions--many points along the way to turn around and make it an out-n-back of any length.

You can also make this ride shorter by starting at Akins High School--a favorite starting point of many ACA rides.

The Austin Cycling Association is dedicated to furthering bicycle access, safety, education, and enjoyment in Central Texas by sponsoring weekly bike rides, training, informational programs and an annual charity bike ride; the Armadillo Hill Country Classic (AHCC). The AHCC benefits bicycle safety education and free helmets for kids. So another great ride in South Austin leaves from Dick Nichols Pool--from here, you would turn left onto Beckett up to Davis and head over to the Autobahn.  turn by turn directions are attached below.

Bring your swim suit for a nice dip in the pool after your ride...or bring your running shoes for a run on the .9 mile shaded granite trail across the street.
